I am just wondering, does anybody know of any one to be accepted to BoCo on a full ride scholarship??? I know this is wishful thinking but I was just wondering to how big the scholarships they have to offer are. I have been accepted to several schools but BoCo is my TOP CHOICE(not always that way but after my audition and talking with Neil, I know it is the place for me) but I know I will not be able to afford it(I come from a low income single parent household) unless I get some SERIOUS money.

thanks so much for anything you all have to offer. This board has been such a blessing to me during this process.

I sent you a message.

You are perfect!!! Thank you SOO much.

They have been known to give out a few full ride scholarships. It is not as common in MT because they have a huge list of people waiting to get in. They definitely give out some pretty hefty scholarships; 20-25,000. Once you are offered some money, you can definitely go to them and ask for more. They often will up their offer if you ask! You have nothing to lose!

Thanks so much for all the help. I have talked with them and worked EVERYTHING out. I’m stoked for next year.

Have heard BOCO’s scholarships go to male dancers and international students. That leaves a lot of interested MT candidates out of the picture, unfortunately.

If you are accepted and they don’t offer you money, you can still ask for some.

Post #6:

Not true. Scholarships go to anyone they want to entice. But they do offer more to males especially.

That is CERTAINLY not true. I dont mean that aggressively…I just kind of laughed out loud because the majority of people that I know who were scholarshiped would not consider themselves dancers at all, including myself Like beenthere always puts it so perfectly, those sort of things are never definite or even able to be proven as they are conditional based on the individual and often times scare otherwise eligible prospective students from pursuing an opportunity that migh really work out for them.

:D

Humchun102…LOL YOU WILL become a good dancer because YOU will be working hard at it for 4 years!!! Remember the majority of broadway musical calls go like this…

“singers who dance or dancers or sing”

:)))))))

LOL! You are completely right. Clarification-I am not bad at dancing(persay…lol), I am just a late bloomer. That is part of the reason BoCo is such an obvious decision the ammount of intesive dance training is REDIC. A true triple threat program. Apply here…just saying :D

How many students accepted generally get scholarships? I know I’d need a pretty hefty one to attend BoCo

10K - 20K scholarships are rare. All you can do is try your best, but if you need more then 20K that’s going to very difficult.

Good luck.
