Scholarships for people with mental disorders

With a history of depression, I could really use some names of scholarships for people with mental disorders. Also, my family has a very good income, but my doctor bills really cut into our money situation. What do most colleges consider when deciding whether a prospective student needs aid or not?

I have no idea about scholarships like that. Aid is generally tied to income and savings (and with the CSS Profile to other assets). The school can adjust that if there are medical bills involved.

Lots of scholarships like to hear about hard-working students who have struggled with obstacles. You could easily fit that description.

Fill out the Fafsa anyway. If these excessive payments were/will be claimed on your/parents’ taxes, then their income will be suitably reduced. Therefore, their high income will be less and may put you into a category of eligibility for financial aid. Good luck. And please make sure you attend a college with good support for you.
