Scholarships USA/Canada for Junior in High School

Hello everyone!

I am a junior in high school going on to senior year.
Already at this time, I'm looking for scholarships in which I can apply to. In any case, I have already submitted a few essay scholarships and the Best Buy Scholarship.

Though... sometimes I feel as if I don't have many opportunities :(

I am a Canadian citizen living in the US and I was born in India.

Most of the scholarships require for the student to be a US citizen or resident... and I'm neither...

Also, I'm looking for scholarships that could be used for any college as in international. I am interested in going to post secondary school in Canada soo... yeah, I need scholarships which I could use in Canada.

Since I'm currently a junior, I'd like some junior scholarships as well.

Note: I prefer scholarships that don't require me to read a book or draw something. I can do any others. Ex. writing essays, volunteer service.

If this helps...
I am very good with Technology and I'm interested in Medicine.

Sorry if this is sort of messy ><

Are you applying for U.S. residency? That would help, I believe, and would allow you to qualify as a National Merit Finalist if your PSAT score was high enough.

But you’re not going to find scholarships in the U.S. that would cover schools in Canada. For scholarships that would cover an international student in the U.S., I’d suggest checking the [International Students](International Students - College Confidential Forums) forum here on CC. There’s a featured discussion that focuses on aid for international students. There’s also a sub-forum just for students from Canada. Take a look!

I have a question for you, though . . . Have you actually found scholarships that require the applicant to draw something??? That sounds kinda cool!

ushiken–if medical school is your goal, you may be better served by attending college in Canada where you have resident status. It is extremely difficult for internationals to gain admission to medical school in the US. Most schools flat out won’t accept international students and of those that do all except 4 do not offer financial aid of any kind (including loans!) to internationals. You would be asked to deposit in advance 1 to 4 years of med school tuition before you could matriculate. (Easily $75,000-$250,000)

Canadian medical schools have a very strong preference for graduates of Canadian colleges.
