This might be a stupid question, but since washu does not bind applicants by major, can I apply for merit scholarships outside of the school I’m applying to? For example, if I’m applying as an architecture major, can I apply for an engineering scholarship?
I get where you are coming from, but no. Your scholarships are limited to the ones in the school to which you applied and the university-wide scholarships. In fact, if you log into your WashU pathway, as an architecture major you won’t even have access to the engineering scholarships.
That said, scholarships travel at WashU. Say I win the Langsdorf engineering scholarship, but decide I would rather study something other than engineering once I am at WashU. I still can keep my scholarship even if I transfer to Arts and Sciences.
@JemmaSimmons That’s what I had thought. Thanks!
