<p>^ I have to agree about the quality of A&W’s journalism winners. It seems like the judges look for creativity over skill and craft.</p>

The original website is a bit uninformative. I just finished reading a forum about the contest though, and if you have any more specific questions, I’ll be willing to answer.<br>
Oh, and there was a girl who won a gold medal in writing and she got a full ride to Yale. I don’t know how much of an effect the award had on that, but it’s pretty cool to dream about.</p>
