School Ideas/ Chance?

I was diagnosed w/ severe ADHD this year, and my GPA is unreflective of my intelligence. None the less, it will still be on my transcript. I was wondering if there were any good schools where GPA is not that important, or schools that I could get into based on my stats? So far the only school I am seriously interested in is Eugene Lang at the New School, chance? Also, I plan on majoring in International Relations, possibly pre-law.

I’m not sure if this is applicable to your specific situation, but Lewis & Clark College (which happens to be excellent for international relations) has an alternative way for people to apply called the Portfolio Path to admission.
While I think it is intended for students who have better grades than their standardized score might suggest, I think it could be helpful for you, even though the situation is just the opposite. The link is here:

[Portfolio Path](http://www.lclark.edu/dept/admiss/portfoliopath.html)

In a nutshell, they consider 4 graded assignments from your junior and senior year and 3 teacher recommendations in addition to you standard application. I think that if you can show your intelligence (which is apparent in your ECs) through your portfolio, and perhaps include a letter from a doctor explaining your condition, that you would be very competitive for admission as well as their merit scholarships.

Best wishes. :)

Not sure but maybe look at Drew and SUNY Albany.

Goucher, maybe.

Or maybe one of the smaller colleges in New York, such as Marymount Manhattan.

I think you have a good explanation for your GPA, and assume you’ll be getting better grades from now on. Given that, you might want to look at LACs where the women outnumber the men. Many are actively recruiting guys, and might be more forgiving towards your record.
