Is this a good list? I’ve given a lot of thought and considered cutting schools, but I was looking for advice about adding any schools you guys suggest.

Thanks :)>-

While that is a list of good schools it might not be a good school list. Without any background information on you (ECs grades, awards etc.) the validity of the list cannot be determined. Also if you want to go to med school you should look at some schools which have med programs for undergrad (some of the schools on the list have those so if that is why they are there you should specify that).

That’s a lot of reaches. Are you a CA resident? If not, UCB is expensive for OOS.

How much can you and your family afford? Home state?
If you have plans to attend medical school, you want to keep your undergrad costs as low as possible since Medical School will cost upwards of $200-240K. UCB if you are OOS, will cost close to $55K/year with little to no FA, something to keep in mind when forming your list.

Hm… you’re right, UCB is pretty expensive (I’m from TX) and alot of these schools are difficult to get into

Your scores are definitely good enough to get into those schools but your ECs are what will swing it either way.

You are a very competitive applicant and could get some merit scholarships from UCB such as Regents to bring costs down, but still at the minimum you would be looking at $23K/year plus your EFC. If this amount is not an issue, I would say you have a good chance at UCB.

Thank you very much guys! I’ve been looking at financial aid packages, and right now, Rice looks good (I talked to some financial aid counselors) and they said it would be ~10k max debt after graduation

My biggest worry is simply not being accepted to any of these schools (I’m auto-admit to UT, so that’s my safety right now)
I hope my stats + EC + essays are good enough.
