So, I'm interested in studying politics in college, I think the political atmosphere matters a lot. I mean, I'm a liberal so I wouldnt be able to stand lectures from professors who were all hardcore conservatives. At the same time, I also understand that I need a well-rounded, open-minded education, so where can I get this? The same goes with the students. Schools of choice right now are American, George Washington, Georgetown, Bucknell, Penn State, Pitt, Temple and West Virginia, but others are welcome. Thanks all

UC Berkeley is very liberal

Well most schools are as a rule at least slightly liberal leaning and even if the student body isnt as much so the majority of the teachers PROBABLY are... GTown is strong with its Catholic heritage I believe so there is probably a relatively tangible religious vibe which may make it slightly more conservative than other places.

Why not go to a conservative school? You won't become a good politician if you're around people that will always agree with you. When you can prove the teacher's ideology is wrong, its a great feeling. I love doing that in American Government
