<p>@turtletime - if BFA programs are offered, there aren’t as many chances for non-BFA students to audition/participate in theater - is that the general idea? Thus far, we haven’t really looked to see which schools have BFA and which one have a BA instead - but I’ll put that on the list of things to look at.</p>
<p>University of Richmond is a great school - I wanted D to apply there, but she decided she had enough schools on her list. Do you know if they offer merit scholarships at all? It isn’t an absolute must for us, but it would sure be nice to get discounted tuition!</p>
<p>You have to look at each school. Originally I ruled out schools with music major for my musician / geek engineering son because I thought there would be no music opportunities. But I learned that it can depend upon the school. </p>
<p>@arisamp, Richmond does offer a number of merit scholarships (some designated for kids in the arts), but the deadline for students to be considered for those was December 1.</p>
<p>@yaupon - S is a junior, only applying next year. We will take a look at Richmond.</p>
