hey all, I was just browsing the tufts online bookstore, and I couldnt help but notice how plain looking/ugly the t-shirts were. I mean, okay I'll admit that brown and blue aren't the most flattering two colors to put together, but even the shirts that don't feature the brown/blue combo are kind of plain dontcha think? I only saw two-three shirts and sweatshirts that I liked. I love Tufts, but does anyone else agree with me that the t-shirt/sweatshirt designs need some revamping? =P

Agreed. Girls beware, the girls t-shirts run really small. Especially the tanks. Extra small would fit a cat. The gray men's t-shirt w blue text has a weird neck.

There are far better ones in the school bookstore. The ones online are not an extensive array of what's actually available.

ahaha well then I guess I'll have to wait til fall or open house to buy mine then, lolabelle. I was ****ed because my local University Shirt Store didn't have Tufts(seems like the only MA schools they had were Harvard and BC, oh well) =P

yeah, the bookstore itself carries a much better selection. Some people like the new font, and some don't, and as far as I know there's still some of the old font stuff left.

I believe that unlike Harvard and MIT etc.., Tufts doesn't allow retail stores to sell university merchandise in an effort to prevent commercializing the school's name.

Um...I've seen Tufts shirts elsewhere. If you go to a college shirt kiosk in a Boston mall, they usually have one Tufts t-shirt (and I think it's in the new font). Oh, and creepy baby Harvard t-shirts that freak me out. Future Harvard freshman? Are you a pushy parent putting pressure on your one year old or what? But that's another topic altogether.
I like the new font. It's friendlier. Most people like the old font, which they still have in the bookstore. And there are lots more creative shirts in the store, yes, don't worry.

Sadly, the only two places that sell Tufts stuff are Tufts' two bookstores on the Medford and Boston campus.

I don't believe those are officially licensed by Tufts

It's quite sad actually.. seeing as how much money they're spending in the past year on public relations.

But yea, there are some T-shirts and hoodies at the book store on campus that actually look quite nice.

if ppl want to make money off the tufts name, i think it should be tufts that gets a share of the profits ;-)

And yeah the bookstore sells some really cool t-shirts, especially "Fear the Elephant."

I tried ordering sweatshirts off the website. They couldn't process my credit card. I called the bookstore up directly. A very nice young lady picked out 2 shirts and 2 mugs for me. She was very helpful (she went through every style/color with me). Hopefully, I'll get them this weekend.
