So schools like TCU, Boston College, and Davidson superscore ACT. I currently a junior with a high gpa interested in all these schools. When I look at their ACT ranges on their website are the composite scores they lost superscore or just the composit??? My current composit is 29 with a superscore of 32. I would assume they would publish the superscored scores but not sure. Thanks .
Sorry for grammar was on my phone and text wasn’t really showing up
Do schools that superscore show the superscores composits is what I’m trying to ask, haha.
Check each schools admission page on the website carefully. The answer is often there. You can also try googling the question “Does XYCollege superscore ACT”
Here is BC’s policy: http://www.bc.edu/admission/undergrad/process/freshman/faq.html
Search the other schools on your list yourself.
Four possible combinations can be considered:
-
A school superscores for the purposes of admission and in their public data.
-
A school superscores for the purposes of admission but not in their public data.
-
A school does not superscore for the purposes of admission nor in their public data.
-
A school does not superscore for the purposes of admission but does so in their public data.
This noted, I’ve not seen information that would answer your question, which is a good one, @GrantCC.
Btw, “composite” and “superscore” do not define opposite terms. The opposite of superscore would be along the lines of “single exam.”
@merc81 I would also assume schools would publish the super-scored scores to make themselves look better, but not sure
Yes, and it seems that any school could do this, not just those that state they superscore for the purposes of admission.
