I live I the us but I would like to go to college in the uk. Help?

Why are you impersonating me?

Hi xxCupcakexx

I’d suggest doing some basic research on the subject (UCAS and The Student Room are good places to start) and then coming back if you have some more specific questions.

There are LOTS of colleges and unis in the UK, start identifying which ones you are interested in. Use the internet to go to these college’s webpages.

You are almost certainly going to need at least three AP tests (or SAT subject tests) to be admitted into UK college/uni. For the better ones, you need better grades on those tests.

(This means to me that it is, ON AVERAGE, more difficult to get into a UK college/university than an American one)

When you apply, you will need to declare what subject you are studying (what we call a “major” in the U.S.). You cannot major in “undeclared”, and if you seem uncertain about what subject you are choosing, this may harm your chances.

They are usually NOT interested in your GPA, or in all your extra-curriculars that are unrelated to the subject you plan to study.

If you could ask us more specific questions, we could help you better.

When you research colleges, always remember that you are a “foreign student”. They may even have specific information for American applicants.
