Schools that offer instate deals to out of state kids??

A couple of Virginia girls we know were offered IS tuition at USouth Carolina and Clemson. THey also got merits on top of this bringing the COA to less than IS William and Mary or UVa. One girl opted for Clemson over both UVa and W&M. The othrt opted for William and Mary over UVa and USC.

Residents of New England states can receive in-state tuition at one another's state schools if the public institutions in their own state don't offer a particular major. There are some caveats, though, insofar as some schools restrict their participation in this program for certain majors on a state-specific basis (e.g., linguistics at UMass is approved for kids from VT, but not RI for some reason).
