does anyone know which schools still offer the chance to send a photograph of yourself with the application? i know columbia does...

I know Penn did last year.

yea, as did Brown last year also.

I'm not sure if any schools remain, though?

Elon University, in North Carolina.

Elon allows you to attach one, but they do NOT require one.

When D applied to schools 3 years ago, Wake Forest wanted a photo. Both D & I were somewhat put off by that; D asked an Admissions Rep why they wanted it and the answer was something along the lines of "So when your application comes in we can remember you from a college fair/visit to your school/your visit here, etc." IMO, a lame reason. But, D ended up sending a photo. She's now a junior at WFU and loves it. (But I still disagree with the whole photo thing.)

Penn doesn't have it anymore.

I think Georgetown has it as an option.

pomona i believe

Pomona has it (optional).

Why? I really don't get why they ask for this.

columbia does but it's optional lol.

my friend says bard does.

can anyone confirm the georgetown?

so now we have georgetown, elon, columbia, and pomona.

it's just a strange concept, that's why i was wondering.

it makes you wonder, why do they even ask race, or gender? but i guess it's for diversifying purposes.

because if you're cute they'll give you extra consideration ;)

haha I actually heard a rumor that Wake Forest uses it to only accept uhhh visually pleasing people. lmao. (obviously a joking rumor, if you didn't catch that)

Rex212, I didn't say Elon required one. The OP asks "which schools still offer the chance..."

Cornell Hotel makes it mandatory

I assumed it was to prevent people from lying about their ethnicity, but that's probably not right.

^ which makes perfect sense. who would want to go to a hotel ran by an ugly dude? LMAO
