Well, as the title implies I'm looking for schools that offer a Southern Studies(or something along those lines) major. So far I have found Ole Miss and UNC as schools that offer this. Anyone know of any other schools? Oh, and by Southern, I mean the Southern United States.

Here’s a list of schools with Appalachian Studies programs, which is related:

[U.S. Programs in Appalachian Studies :: ASA ::](http://www.appalachianstudies.org/syllabi/programs.php)

You might try researching American Studies programs or History programs to check the specific research interests of the professors.

For example, the University of Virginia offers the American Studies major with a concentration in Southern Studies.

Vanderbilt, Duke, UNC, William and Mary, Washington and Lee, Virginia, Tulane, Loyola-New Orleans. I would look at Ole Miss LSU, Alabama (roll Tide!), Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, Florida, South Carolina, Furman, Wofford.

Southern Studies is often a concentration for graduate school.

Gettysburg College offers a six-course minor in Civil War Era Studies. Gettysburg also offers a unique semester-long immersion program in Civil War Studies aimed at visiting students from other universities.

Thank you everyone!

Ole Miss was the first to come to mind.
