Schools with strong Honor Code?

I really like Haverford because of the trust that everybody has in each other and the Honor Code. I was wondering if there were any other colleges with a strong honor code that I could look at?

Quick stats:
2310 SAT, 34 ACT, 3.5 UW GPA, top 5%. Really strong extracurriculars in JROTC activities, piano, and public speaking. Asian.

Thank you so much! :]

Caltech is known for its honor code. Very selective school though; it might be difficult for you to get in and obviously it’s not right for everyone.

I saw the title of your thread and immediately thought: “Oh, my god. Haverford.”

It’s interesting that you really like Haverford, and that you have strong JROTC extra curriculars. I would surmise that you already know that Haverford is a Quaker college, which means that there may not be too many folks there who would share your interest in the military.

Yeah, I’m not looking into Caltech. There’s no way I would be accepted, and I had a friend who went there and immediately transferred out, lol.

@franglish: Oh no, I’m not interested in the military. JROTC is actually a lot different than college ROTC, which I’m not looking into at all (parents will disown me, personal disinterest). And for some reason I have an attraction to Quaker colleges. xDDD

Davidson. NC.

Wake Forest

Rhodes College
[Rhodes College | Honor System](http://www.rhodes.edu/campuslife/1478.asp)

As long as I see the mountain of backpacks at the front door of the cafeteria, I’m still confident it works!

Any of the service academies.

Davidson was the first school to come to my mind; I second MOWC’s suggestion. Tests are unproctored and taken on your own time, and bicycles are left around campus for student use.

As a plus, it’s loan-free. :)

William & Mary and UVa are both really big into their honor codes.

Any of the Quaker colleges. Check out the list at the Friends Association for Higher Education:

Bryn Mawr, but since you mentioned Haverford already, I assume you’re male.

Yeah, as mentioned, UVA and Davidson both value their honor codes strongly.

Plus, they have entirely different campus settings and academic strengths, so you could choose the one that most fits your interests.

Rice has a big honor code I think.

Biola University, but it is very religious in nature.

yea I agree that UVa is big with its honor code and its entirely student run…

Washington & Lee is all about their honor code – they take it very seriously. I agree regarding UVA also.

William & Mary literally invented the Honor Code and takes it very seriously.
