Schools with the best poli sic, public policy, etc.

I am a junior in hs and know that I want to go into public service, most likely staffing and law school later. What schools have the most well-rounded programs concerning that field? I have a 33 Act, 4.33 act, and very strong extra curriculars. I'm not looking to be chanced or anything, just schools that would be around my caliber (I am applying to ivies). I am just looking to narrow my college tours and such. I am in Michigan so UMich has a strong pull right now, but I don't know much about the Ford school

Some of the better known schools include George Washington U., American U., Syracuse U., and U. of Maryland. You might also apply to the Schweyer Honors College program at Penn State’s main campus, which offers some merit aid and smaller classes.

However, if you really want to go to law school, it would be advisable to not load up with too much undergraduate debt, in order to save your debt capacity for law school. Because of declining applications, many law schools have increased their aid, but it still not cheap.

My son attends the Batten School of Public Policy at UVa and is very happy with the program. It is much easier to register for classes and offers smaller class sizes than within UVa’s over-stretched Politics and Government Department.
