Hey guys — I am most likely going to end up at end ND. I am now trying to figure out what to major in. My ultimate goal is definitely going to medical school. However, taking business classes as a backup would not be a terrible idea. Does anyone know if people have success with this major in applying to medical school? Or would I be at more of an advantage by taking the Preprofessional major?
@dunnowheretogo Your First-Year Advisor will closely work with and advise you on these and any related topics. You will meet her/him in person during Welcome Weekend and have the opportunity to communicate closely beforehand https://firstyear.nd.edu/advising/.
What College and Major did you indicate as preliminary choices in your application? There is no “Preprofessional major” at Notre Dame, the College of Science offers Preprofessional Studies https://science.nd.edu/undergraduate/majors/preprofessional-studies/, if this is what you referred to. There also is the Science-Business Track. Both can ultimately lead to Med School.

Again, all major/class questions you might have will be very effectively addressed over the coming months - subsequent to you deciding to attend Notre Dame this fall. Best of luck for your decision. Go Irish!
