Science Club

I want to start the Science Club @ my high school but I'm having trouble deciding what advisor would be qualified for the position (because it's going to be a general-all sciences club but most teachers are just specialized in one topic). Also, what kind of activities can I do? What science topics would be fun etc???

Usually, the science club has several teacher advisers. At our school, it is composed of four teachers. Two other science teachers take care of the environmental club.
We have guest speakers, opportunities for community service, and various other things. :p
Currently, we are trying to focus a bit on learning more about the Science Olympiad. Time a big factor in deciding what type of activities you can do. If you met once a week, you do more specific things, maybe some experiments (Chem. Magic, things like this). Our club meets once a month, so our topics are very general.

Our club sucks because Chaos is the president.
Haha, jk...

But seriously, Science Olympiad sounds like the best Science club that I have heard of so far. Plus, Science Olympiad has different categories so that people with different interests can still join.

As for the adviser, pick a competent science teacher that will listen to your ideas and actually care about the club. When you ask him/her you might want to bring up the possibility of getting other science teachers as well or something if you want more than one adviser.

Any other ideas? What kind of activities/experiments can I do? I don't know anything but I'm curious ;P

You might want to try regional competitions, or if your club becomes large enough, Science Olympiad. For example, we have a Neuroscience Competition (called "Brain Bee") sponsored by Glaxo Smith-Kline in our area. I actually believe that this competition is held in several locations throughout the United States. You may want to try out things like this.

Hope I have helped. :)
