Hello,

I am majoring in chemistry (minor in writing) at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. I want to pursue law school, more specifically patent law (and writing grants / patents for chemistry research departments at schools and the like). My GPA right now is around 3.0.

I've been looking up schools for IP law and the median GPA is slightly higher than 3.0; I'm not sure if this is because of the majors that normally go to law school having higher GPA's than science majors (and I know I should get my grades up a little). I guess I'm just curious as to what I should do, and I want to hear from other science majors who have gone on to law school.

I'm a junior right now, and I'm expected to graduate Fall 2012.
