Sciences at Bowdoin

Hello,

 I got off the Bowdoin waitlist this morning and now have to make the tough choice of choosing between Bowdoin and Carleton. I am a prospective science major, and am wondering if anyone can give me insight on the strengths and weaknesses of Bowdoin's science programs. I have heard that Carleton's programs are particularly strong, and am wondering how Bowdoin's compares. Any comments would be appreciated! Thanks!

P.S. I am not worried about other factors such as financial aid or location

My S is graduating from Bowdoin in a few weeks. He’s not a science person, but one of his good friends/roommates is, and will be attending Harvard for his PhD. I think his area is biochemistry, but not sure.

On the Bowdoin website, under Academics, for the area(s) you are interested in, you might want to view the Research opportunities and compare them to Carleton.
