Sciences at Kenyon

How good are the bio and chem departments? Anyone know med school admissions rates?

Very good. 80% or so

If Kenyon can produce at least 1 Goldwater scholarship receipient almost every year despite her relatively small science departments (in terms of sizes), I guess it has to be at least good, if not stellar.

Again, I think it is ultimately up to you. If you are willing to work (hard) and get a decent GPA, med school admissions shouldn't be a major problem because from what I gather from alumni, Kenyon has a solid reputation among academians, although not so much from the outside world.

And Kenyon has a Summer Science Research Program, which provides a stipend (~USD 3000) for one to carry out research activities. I thought that is pretty good actually! ;)

You also need to show a genuine interest in medicine. Doing lots of ER work or a summer at a hospital is a large help.
