Sciences at Swarthmore

A recent study looked at which colleges and universities produce more leaders in the sciences. The first ranking included winners of the Nobel Prize, the Fields Medal and the Turing Award. Given the small number of awards each year, this ranking could be swayed by just a few graduates, so the authors did a second ranking that included individuals elected to the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering and the Institute of Medicine. On a per capita basis, Swarthmore placed fourth in both rankings. (Caltech and Harvard were ahead in both. MIT and Chicago were ahead in one.) http://qz.com/498534/these-25-schools-are-responsible-for-the-greatest-advances-in-science/
