Hey GSTourGuides,
Just wanted to thank you.
I’m sure you’re scrambling to adjust to the current crisis. Like most schools, students are stressed about online classes, faculty may not be thrilled about teaching online and the in person staff may not be all that thrilled about being on campus to support, well, the aforementioned everyone.
So, thank you. We appreciate how responsive you’ve been to us. Please take care of yourself.
Wash your hands, call your mom and take deep breaths (not in any particular order).
I’m neither French nor from France, I am Lebanese, but I attend a “Lycée Français” in Gabon, in Africa. I feel your angst, with the burden of the baccalaureate on top of all this! Courage!
They haven’t made any announcements yet about Admitted Students Day, as far as I know. But seeing as classes are all online, campus is essentially closed (with almost everything operating remotely), and Commencement won’t be happening in May, I would say it’s very likely that there will be no Admitted Student Day this year. What is more likely is some kind of virtual event - but again, nothing is decided yet, as we watch the situation unfold.
Question from a parent to the students;
Considering that the projections of Covid-19 include waves/peaks and valleys of infection, which is to say that once this current quarantine is lifted, life will return to some normalcy but it’s expected that in a few months we may expect to have to quarantine again, and possibly a third time for the next 18 months.
IF that’s the case. how do you feel about being in France under those circumstances? As a mom, I’m not sure how I feel about having my kiddo so far away in a time of crisis.
Hello @GS Tourguides. Can you please tell us what, if any, changes will be made to the program in light of COVID-19, for example if travel bans have not been lifted? How and when will these be communicated? Who should we ask, if you do not know? Thank you very much for your help and guidance during this difficult time, which I recognize is difficult on your end as well.
