Score reports, various questions...PLEASE help me out.

Ok, I am applying to UPenn (Wharton), Cornell, Dartmouth, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, and UF (safety), FSU (safety), USF (accepted). My prospective major is economics. I currently have the following test scores...

SAT
First Sitting: 1300/1900 (680 M, 620 CR, 600 W)
Second Sitting: 1380/2140 (700 M, 680 CR, 760 W)
Third Sitting: ~1430/2200 (Will receive scores Dec. 21st)
SAT II
First Sitting: 690 Math I, 630 Lit
ACT
First Sitting: 30 Composite (28 Science)
Second Sitting: 31 Composite (27 Science)
AP/IB
IB Math Studies HL: 6
IB Environmental Systems: 5
AP English Lang: 4
AP USH: 4

As you can see, I [am pretty sure I will] have a pretty good SAT score, something around a 2200. Unfortunately, the SAT IIs that go with them are not that good (by the standards of these schools). On the other hand, I have a solid ACT score, where my science is what's holding me back, both times. I included my AP/IBs because they are on the CommonApp, plus they have to do with the next part of my question.

Question 1. Should I send my SAT/SATIIs or my ACT, or all three of them?
Although my SATIIs aren't great, I have a 4 on the AP English Language test (contrasting with a 630 Lit), and a 6 on the IB Math Studies test. Similarly, with my ACT, that would be a 32/33 with a proper science score, I have a 5 on my IB Environment test.
Currently I am leaning towards sending them all (SAT, SATII, and ACT). I could send my ACT scores right now. That way, colleges will have at least the requirement-fulfilling ACT (I haven't sent any scores yet), and once my Dec. SAT comes out, I can send the SAT and SATII to go with it (though they might arrive post-deadline).

Question 2. How long does it take for SAT score reports to arrive? If I get them on the 21st, and send them that day, will the colleges have them on time?

Question 3. For the colleges where SAT IIs are not absolutely required (for example, Northwestern), should I even send them in? Or should I send the SAT along with the ACT instead?

Please help me out, thanks a ton in advance.

1) Just send all of them, and btw, 4 on English is nothing for Ivy and 6 on studies is really bad, considering there is no calculus on it whatsoever. If you would have 6-7 from IB HL maths, it would be whole another thing. 5 on IB Environment is also quite low, considering how easy the course is…

2) Not sure

3) You dont I think, you should probably just send SATI.

And sorry, just telling the truth

Ok thanks, and I don’t mind the harshness lol. Will wait for a few more opinions before I decided what to send.

BUMP 10 char

The 4 on the AP thing is blatantly wrong. Loads of people with 4s get into Ivies…

I think he’s just saying it won’t make up for the 630, but thanks anyways.
Bump, need some more opinions.

Please help me out.

For UF and FSU, you don’t need to send any SAT IIs because they don’t consider them for admission and either of your ACTs or your second sitting SAT are more than good enough for either of those.

Cornell and Dartmouth require two SAT IIs regardless of whether you submit ACT or SAT. Moreover, Cornell is a complete all scores college in that it requires you to send all SAT, all SAT II and all ACT scores. For both of those, you should just submit everything although you could if desired not send Dartmouth your ACTs (but they are close enough to your SAT score that you probably should send them).

Penn bases admission on either the ACT OR the SAT plus two SAT IIs. It is also requires “all scores” but you can either submit all SATs and SAT IIs or all ACTs. Best to send all your scores to it and let it decide whether it considers your ACT to be better than the combination of your SAT and SAT IIs.

Neither Northwestern nor Vanderbilt requires SAT IIs. However, NW recommends three and Vanderbilt two. You don’t have three but NW will consider two if you only send two. Both of those will use SAT IIs in the evaluation if they help you not if they hurt you. Thus, for those I would probably send everything including, SATs, SAT IIs, and ACTs.

If you send Dec score as soon as it comes out it will be timely for all the schools

Similiar to Strikeb4ck’s second question, I also have a query.
Having given the SAT 2 this december, if i use the free score reports and send them now, before i get my scores, will the sat 2 scores be sent as well, or do I have to wait till after I get my sat 2 results to send them?

^If you send by designating colleges as free sends for your December test, nothing will be sent until the December scores come out and at that time your December scores and any prior SAT or SAT II scores will be sent unless you exercise score choice and uncheck any prior scores.

Thanks a ton, very helpful. I will likely just send all my scores then, except for UF/FSU (counselor is requiring me to apply to two in-states).
