Would you mind asking the director again just to make sure? And please update us on this thread if you find anything or if your daughter receives her score.

This is awful. I want to know my May scores already… What’s taking so long? Oh and by the way, some of my friends didn’t get their June scores either. Is this somehow related to the whole May issue?

I am going to be a senior in the fall, and my scores were delayed too (for the June test). I called CB and went through several people until I finally spoke to a data analyst. He was very ambiguous but did say that my scores were being put on hold because I either had a large increase or decrease in my score since the last test date.

I took the test freshman year (after pulling an all nighter/sleeping at the end of the sections) and got a 1740. On the diagnostic practice test I took w/o studying about a month before this June SAT I got a 2120. I since really hammered in my math skills and judging by the curve and reading the discussion of problems I think I got at least 2200+ on this June one.

Two questions:

1)To others that have had this happen, how long did it take to get your scores? (The analyst said it normally took 2-4 weeks).

2)Has anyone had their scores arbitrarily cancelled? I read that this could happen and I’m getting worried as I probably had an increase ~500 pts. from the 9th grade test to the June one.

NWSkier
Where did you take your exam? And just so you know, many of us on this thread have done their exams on May 4th and we still haven’t received our grades yet (more than 7 weeks have passed) so don’t be too hopeful.

Oh and by the way, I was about to check if my scores were online or not today when I found this on collegeboard’s website:

"The College Board websites are temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your patience."
I think that’s a good sign right?

I took mine in the US. Where did you take yours? And did you have a 350+ point increase from your last test to this one?

And I have no idea what their website being down means. haha

Also I read in another thread that a kid who had gotten a large score increase called in and asked them what his preliminary scores were and they told him, so thats what I am going to try and do tomorrow.

I certainly didn’t cheat so I just want to know how I did!

I took mine in Saudi Arabia, and this was my first time and I thought I did really well. I tried calling yesterday and I was told that there seemed to be nothing wrong with my file and so they filed a complaint to the supervisor and told me that I would get an answer within two weeks. If they tell you anything different when you call please post it here.

I believe that the scores will be released between 7-10 days because ETS is still finishing the investigations. Basically, ETS will cancel the scores with large math differences only and then tell college board to publish others online

Alhamdilillah her score was just posted! So relieved… Better English, lower math than hoped but at least she knows where she stands (first time SAT). Now she can prepare for a fall sitting knowing what to work on. Wishing you all good news in the coming hours!

730(may) on reading yay .I am so happy

^ I’d die for a score like that on CR
(No envy intended… just innocent coveting :P)

@2200andbeyondXD
I was dying too to get a score like that. I worked really hard to push my limits ,so do your best and you will eventually reach your goal.

how did you start off?
I started with a 600

worked really hard… ended up with a 620… ehem… okay…

so what did you do? what grade did you first get?

Mohamedbahr, how did you get this score. I wish I can get a score like this

LOL if the cheating was in math then I guess they realized that she couldn’t have possibly cheated to get a 560 M and a 710 CR. At least she knows where to focus her studies for the fall. I really hope this doesn’t happen again in Oct/Nov!

@mitcho ,@2200andbeyondXD
well, I studied tons of vocab from books like direct hits ,Princeton, and Barron’s and did ALOT of practice tests. I began with a 1500 on the sat up to 2100+,and from 470 cr to 730 cr.you just have to set your goal straight and work hard for it even if your academic level is low. Just because you aren’t American, you can’t score in English like them(no offense to Americans).definitely, you can be better through practice and I maybe an epitome of this

^Aaaamen to that bro ;P
