Scores in SAT

I come from abroad and I'm really confused with the scoring system in SAT's... For example in math there are like 54 questions. In the ranking list is says that if you get 54 it is 800p, 53 you get 780-800, 52 you get 750-800.... So is it every year different?

Basically if you want to score at least 750, how many mistakes can you usually make?

Thank you!

It varies from test to test depending on difficulty. You generally can't miss more than two in math and get a 750.

what about the other parts of SAT?

In cr you can probably miss 3 or 4.

The essay weighs heavily in your writing score. You could miss 3 or 4 with a perfect essay (maybe a 3 more than a 4).
