Wow. A 30 point increase in single sitting score, 60 point increase in composite. That was well worth taking it a third time...NOT! Worst decision I ever made...

Speaking of taking a third time.. I was thinking of just taking it in December just to see if I could do any better, since I'm studying for the Math IIC right now and figure I could do better on the Math, which is my lowest score right now. (I went from a CR: 680, M: 610, W: 680 to a CR: 720, M: 700, W: 730.) It seems that the tests are getting much harder these days though :-/ I don't know if I'll register now... maybe I'll just register in the next few days for the SAT and then if my practice tests aren't any good, I'll switch over to an SAT II.

i did crappily on the math II sat II.

how weighted are these things in colleges eyes?

i got 800 on bio, so should my 690 math score be a problem?

argh!!!!

PS I'm applying to some top schools, ivies, etc. please say its not a huge part of the app!

i got 640 for chem...i expected like 500 something since i guessed half of it...

700 for lit which is disappointing, although critical reading was my weakest part in SAT I

780 in maths IIC, its ok although i expected a 800

all up, i'm definitely retaking lit, not chem though..i give up..also going to study french for two weeks before the dec sat...even though i havnt touched french in two years lol

damn...the SATs are horribly mismatched with my IB subjects...sigh

I'm applying to ivies with a 690 math level 2, too! Do you know how many I had to miss to get that score with the test's curve!

On another note, Stanford only accepts 2 scores and "strongly reccommends" that one be the math level 2. Will it hurt me if I submit my 800 Lit and US History instead?

****, i got a 700 in math. how many do you guys think you missed in math 2c (the ones of you who got 780 that is)?

YetiBeast, I got 800 on 2c and I'm pretty sure it was barely. I know I at least missed 2 & omitted 2. Probably missed at least one more, lose a point, for a raw 44. I assume that 43 or 44 was it for 800, making 41 or 42 a 780.

Dropped in all SAT I subjects! Overall down 70 points. Good lord...:(

in june i got a 2070 (680 W 720 M 650 V) and this time i did so horribly. i got 1980 (600 V 660 W 720 M). i wanted to do better. but since my scores decreased will the affect my chances to UCB?

i dont know whether i should retake. i just have a lot to do right now and i was wondering whether a 2070 is good enough for UCB and UCLA.

How do you request a hand grade?

i got an 1830!!!!!!!!!!!1
i cant believe this!!!!!!!

i wud not get into any college with this.............
i wanna die

I got 530 on the CR component,a 30 increase from my June test,even after 4 months of preparation.What should I do? :(

Add me to the list. I would have received a higher score (SAT II Spanish) if I would have guessed.

at least u guys got ur scores...
i have to wait a whole week for mine

u probably weren't preparin smartly.

i'm assumin u're takin the TOEFL too. so just focus on that now and hopefully ur math scores will take you through.

Unfortunately,I got 580 PBT with hardly any preparation (stupid me!)
By the way,my Math score remained: 760.

So what is a way of preparing smartly?

well... follow the numerous books' advice i guess. i mean after 4 months of prep, u should be gettin more than a 30 point raise!

don't have a definitive answer... but there certainly must've been sth wrong... or maybe just bad luck on test day. is ur score consistent with practice scores?
