Screen Acting In-Person Audition Notification!!

Ah, OK. That’s different. My daughter got a non-specific email reply yesterday too after she emailed admissions. Said department releases decisions on a rolling basis and decisions can be made without an audition. No answer as to when we’ll get answer. But until you get a No, it still can be a Yes!

yes we received that too. That went to everyone that applied. It is not an indicator about being placed in the RD pool

@tlm333 I scanned through last years thread on cc and didn’t see any mention of deferrals. I don’t know what will happen next week, but that would be pretty short notice for an audition if it’s a Yes.

It’s strange though because on their website they say that one of their audition dates line up with Unifides which is in January/ February. But I’m not sure cuz ED/EA Decisions are supposed to come out in December

Has anyone called asking or would mind asking again when we should hear back because this is rediculous. I feel that we should have heard by now or heard about a delay in notification if that’s the case.

I found this info but it is more related to early action on early decision. https://www.chapman.edu/admission/_files/undergrad/documents/how-to-apply/Creative%20Supplement-THEATRE-2018.pdf

But how does us hearing back after December make any sense considering the EA/ED notification date is mid December

Here’s an email I got:
"Thank you for contacting us! Invitations for the in person audition process are not all sent out at the same time. If you are invited for an in person audition, you will find out in the next couple of months.

If you have any further questions about the application process, you are welcome to contact us or your Admission Counselor"

I’m wondering still though… What’s the point of applying EA/ED when we will now have to wait even longer? And how will the audition process fit in to the time line?

I was wondering… Will we hear back December 15th if we get in or not even if we haven’t heard about auditions… Is there any way we could get in academically in December then not into the program later? Or does anyone know how it works?
