Hi all: My daughter is looking at several small art schools. She is particularly interested in sculpture. She wants an education in fine arts but does not want an incredibly tense or rigorous (e’g. several hour of homework a day) environment . Does such an art school exist? Thanks!
If she is interested in figurative sculpture, I would recommend looking at the Laguna College of Art and Design. It is a school our daughter is seriously considering (she’s heading into 11th grade). LCAD is often described as being a hidden jewel - the education is top-notch but from what I have seen, it does not have a reputation as being a sweatshop.
