Son heard last Friday (posted here) In-State NorCal Busn Admin Information Systems 3.9 UW none of his friends have heard back other than High Stats friends that were admitted in December.

Did they answer your question about seeing the dorms on Admitted students day verses the open house?
We are coming in from DC for the Open House, opening to see dorms and meet some other students. Congratulations to your daughter.

Yes. My daughter was admitted last Friday. I was a little surprised she wasn’t admitted in December like her older sister was. In state. 4.6/3.96

My daughter is in WH as well. They promote that they’ll be in Zura together, so I can’t imagine they’d over offer. There are other learning groups in Zura as well. I suppose they could always get more acceptances then expected.

We called today for WH and Zura and they confirmed its is supposed to be guaranteed after acceptance and it is not first come first serve etc.

Does anyone have experience with the mechanical engineering program at this school? Good, ok? Thanks!

Son’s Freshman/Sophomore roommate was a ME major at SDSU. He was happy with the program and currently works at Boeing.

Have you looked over the 4 year MyMap Plan Curriculum along with the electives available? My Map

The program is ABET accredited. ABET accreditation provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates.

You might want to check out the Facebook link: SDSU Mechanical Engineering Department

Or Linked In to see where graduates end up working.

Thanks so much!!

Hi there! I’m a high school senior and I’m very new to the CC community. This is the first thread I’ve read because SDSU is my dream college and I’m a little confused about the admissions process. From what I’m reading, it sounds like they release decisions in waves, but what specifically does that mean? I applied to the nursing program which I understand is super impacted. Three of my friends got their acceptance letters yesterday but my admission still says pending on the webportal. Does this mean that admissions are still coming out or should I prepare for a rejection letter? We all took the same classes and have similar GPAS, ranging from 4.0-4.3. I’m trying to gage my chances of getting in and I would appreciate any guidance.

They said most likely since students are still living there that they will only be able to show a sample room from one dorm. It wasn’t very helpful. I really wanted to see all the options.

If you join the parent FB group(not the official SDSU page)for SDSU a they have a files section of tons of photos parents have posted of all the different dorms including measurements under the bed etc. it’s very comprehensive and helpful.

Even though you may similar stats as your friends, there is no way to gauge your chances for Nursing with such a low acceptance rate of 7% last year. No Decision = No Decision

Regarding wave acceptances: Historically SDSU did not post decisions all at once. They would post several decisions in waves over several weeks. This year, it has been like a trickle vs. a wave since there are still many more applicants just like you waiting for a decision. Just know you will have a decision by the end of March so unfortunately you need to be patient.
