I am from California and applying to SDSU for the fall. I have took 9 AP classes and I am gay. My reported income for my parents is $297,381. What are my chances of getting in? Does me being gay help my chances?

Being gay is not a hook and the CSU’s do not consider race/ethnicity/sexual orientation etc… in their admission decisions.
Admission by eligibility index and major. EI= (CSU capped weighted x200) + (ACT composite x10)= 1040. An EI of around 1050+ has been competitive but it will be depend upon how you compare to the other SDSU Finance applicants. You are ranked by your EI and major and then accept from the top down until all spots are filled.
Below are the averages for this year’s Freshman class so you are close to the averages. You definitely have a shot but it is not a sure thing.
