Thanks for the link. What an incredible adventure for a young adult.

No jealousy on my part. I spent my college summers in exotic Muncie and Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

What was really strange was that the midshipman's simian friend looked amazingly similar to a girl I dated in Indiana. Wonder if she had a connection with Gilbraltar?

Uhhh. How creepy is this. My mom & aunt were born in Muncie. Grandparents lived there for years before moving to Indy. My Mom is in Indy right now visiting. Boy what a small world! I grew up in Seymour. Now thats exotic! Although I'm a hoosier, I have nothing to do with that Bobby Knight thing so nobody start! HA! HA! And by the way, how old are you? Just curious if I happened to be the girl you were talking about LOL

Jamzmom - We do not have any furry faced relatives, but my wife and I are transplanted Hoosiers currently living in the Lone Star State, and originally from the Evansville area.

Sorry Prayerfulmom, I got distracted from your original post. Sea Year is one of the main reasons why my son wanted to go to USMMA. He likes to get his hands dirty so to speak and he'll sure have the opportunity there. No better education than having done it yourself. Just like sailing on the Eagle. Those kids will come back from their adventure well educated for sure. Its exciting no?

Evansville...hmmmm. Travels led through there a time or two. I remember a mall there. Cause I'm a girl no doubt. I left all my furry-faced relatives "back home in Indiana". Do you get back there to visit any? All mine generally come down here due to my southern hospitality. :) Wonder if Aspen recalls Green Hills Country Club in Muncie. I remember going there with my grandparents when I was very little. And they had the best pizza place in Muncie. Wasn't a pizza hut...Can't recall. Pizza King or something... I swear its still there cause my great-aunt still lives there and she and my grandmother do the lunch thing. Enough dribble.

Prayerfulmom- We received an invite to go to a meeting of the Charleston/Lowcountry Alumni Foundation. Might be interesting. The husband said, "Oooo they're having appetizers and beer Ooooo". So I think he's good to go. Plus anytime theres a reason to go to Charleston, count me in. I'll let him drink beer, if he lets me shop!
