A friend of mine was invited to apply for the SeaNet Scholarship. In the email she was given a link that will not work. Through numerous phone calls she was eventually told that one must accept admission to UNCW BEFORE one can apply for the SeaNet Scholarship. This doesn’t make much sense and I think the information she has received is not correct. She is looking at other schools and wants to make an informed decision once all schools have made decisions on scholarships. I have not heard of any school inviting you to apply for a scholarship and then not let you apply until you send in your acceptance deposit. Can anyone help on this?

Oops, the scholarship is not called SeaNet. I guess the only way to access the scholarship is to have a SeaNet account but you can’t get one until you accept admission?
It is called the James R Leutze Merit Scholarship
My daughter was invited as well. You do not have to pay your admissions deposit to apply, you do however need to access it via SeaPort. It is on the Seaport link. My daughter has been working on it. They are due on 3/1 I believe. If you are chosen as a semi-finalist you have to interview on April 18th and decisions will be made the following week.
