other schools: MIT, harvard, princeton, stanford, uchicago, cornell?, umich?, maybe u maryland? any suggestions on what to add on this list?

I'd greatly appreciate advice on other schools, chances, etc!

darn. I forgot an n in the title. Sigh

IMO...judging from the manner in which you posed the niotseuq..good chance-G'luck!

Forgetting the n is a good thing! Many would view the thread because they wanted to correct you.. So good job actually..hehe good luck for your application

Not to mention the fact you spelled the title backwards...

...Je ne veux pas concourir des personnes comme tu. :( I can't help you with chances, but I'll tell you that I'm definitely intimidated, ahhh

Don't apply to too many schools. With that many schools, I would recommend that you try to apply to some EA, so that you can shorten your list later for RA.

Applying to too many schools will crimp on the total quality of each application, since each school will want additional essays etc.

Also, application costs can get pretty expensive.

I would recommend however considering one or two LACs, just in case. Unless you are completely sure you would hate a liberal arts environment, having an LAC option just in case would be pretty handy.
