Second Language Placement Test

Just a quick question, if I'm planning to study Arabic at Stanford do I have to take any sort of online placement test?
Thanks

They don't have an online placement test for Arabic, so you're supposed to make an appointment. Technically, you're required to take the placement if you've studied the language before, but you could always just sign up for the first-year course.

Thanks im_blue I'm assuming I need to make the appointment when I'm there (I've studied the language before). I just wanted to make sure I don't need to do any online placements Thanks

You should probably try to make the appointment before classes start.

I took Chinese in HS and plan to continue it, but the teacher was awful and I'd rather just start fresh. So this OK right?

thanks im_blue :D will do
