Second Semester Senior Worried about Grades

Hi CC!

I’m a senior in my second semester of high school and have enrolled at Brown. I’ve always enjoyed school and have always done my very best to succeed academically

However, my grades in my physics class have been slipping. I am working hard to bring my grades up, but I am terrified that I’ll end up with a C. The dip in my grades is not from a lack of effort. There’s been some extenuating personal issues (that I won’t get into), but I am also just doing poorly because I find this class super challenging.

Is there a chance that Brown would rescind their admissions offer if I ended up with a bad grade in physics?

I’m seriously freaking out right now, but no matter what, I’m going to do my best to pull my grade up.

Thanks!

Don’t worry. One poor grade will not result in rescission. My daughter barely passed calculus- got the lowest grade possible - and was fine.

@sugarandspice1 Congrats that you are already in! I’m sure you will be fine. Physics killed me for my midyear report, so I think it is over for me. Damn you AP Physics (and a bit of Seniorosis)!!!

Physics sucks, I feel your pain. But I’m sure you won’t get rescinded. Congrats on your acceptance!
