Does the tour of William and Mary include a look at the inside of a dorm room?
Yes, the WM campus tour definitely includes a visit to a dorm with a furnished and decorated dorm room. Go Pride!
Yes, but only to a ‘sample’ room, as @Materof2 said.
Like most colleges, William and Mary has many dorm styles. Freshmen are never in the apartment-style ones. Some of the dorms are not air-conditioned - my daughter’s isn’t - but she is still very happy about her first semester at W&M.
Good point, @prodesse: most colleges have many types of dorm rooms. Dorm room, food options climate (for all but the most determined)- these things turn out to be some of the least important factors in how happy a student is with their college experience.
…and I say that based on experience with collegekids with a very wide range of housing experiences (ranging from the smallest double physically possible to a panelled suite in a Christopher Wren designed building, from straight Sodexo cafeteria food to seated dinners, etc.). The academics mattered vastly more- how much they enjoy(ed) the teacher/classes, felt challenged and successful in their work and ECs, and - mostly!- as in so much of life: the people around them made the experience.
