Seeking advice on transferring to Stanford

Hi everyone,
I'm an international student, previously a 2016er, but I took a gap year and become a 2017er. But my passion for Stanford grows. I really want to talk to students in Stanford either through freshman application or transfer application.

During the gap year, I did mainly several things:
1. read books I'm interested in
2. learn spanish
3. found an enterprise (though not a big one )
4. internship at a technology start-up and become the department director
5. learn my native culture
6. swim training and work out (probably can't make into varsity team but I really love swimming)
7. recently planning on publishing a book
I know Stanford students have either high talent in a specialized area (like national champion in swimming) or unusual experience( explore north pole). I think I'm rather a mediocre one. I still have 3 months left for my gap year, so I'm seeking advice on how to improve my gap year so that I can have better chances for getting into Stanford.

I really appreciate your help! Thank you!~ :)

So are you going to apply for freshman year? Then this would be for the class of 2018, right? Unless you are already in college and seeking to transfer. But then you can’t be on a gap year. Please clarify when you are applying and for what class.

Hi,I’m not a college student yet, I mean I’m taking a gap year now, and I’ll be a freshman in my current college this Sep. and I’ll apply for sophomore transfer. Do you have any advice for me? Thank you!
