Paying the OOS summer tuition would be the same as the regular fall or spring costs. The student could take 15 credits in the summer term and then take off the fall to work, making the same or more as he would have over the summer. Same costs, just a different (and unbelievably HOT) time of the year. In fact it may be much cheaper to go to a summer term as he could get a sublet for dirt cheap. Another option is to stay for the May ‘summer’ term once or twice, completing 4-5 credits each year, and then returning home for the summer in June, just like many college kids at other schools do. I know FSU has 3 summer ‘terms’, basically May, June and July.
If it is a full ride scholarship, it would cover the required summer session, wouldn’t it? Everyone has to do the summer, so the school is not going to design a program that all scholarship students can’t complete. The schools can provide FA in the summer, it’s just that BF isn’t available.
