Hi. I don't have a copy of the USNWR, but was hoping that someone who does could post the selectivity (as opposed to overall) rankings for the following LACs:

Grinnell
Colorado College
Bates
Whitman

Thanks!

Grinnell, Bates and Whitman are categorized as “more selective” while Colorado College is “most selective”. USNWR doesn’t assign a number to selectivity.

^They do, actually, though the exact methodology isn’t published. This is an interesting post combining selectivity rankings for LACs and universities http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/687793-selectivity-ranking-national-us-lacs-combined-usnews-method.html.

They are all pretty close in selectivity. If you are a likely admit at one then you probably are fairly likely at all.

Grinnell is most selective (selectivity has greatly increased recently)
Colorado College (close second to Grinnell, but slightly lower test scores/GPA)
Bates (close to CC)
Whitman (high stats average SAT around 2100, but high acceptance rate because of low #'s apply)
