The first question on the SCA SlideRoom asks “What is your self-reported cumulative high school grade point average (GPA)?” But I’m unsure on how to answer this as I took the iGCSE course and am currently enrolled in the IB Diploma Program (in a different school). However, both schools I attended never recorded a GPA and has no scale of doing so.
Also, the answer space contains a maximum of 80 characters, so would it be eligible to state that my school doesn’t record GPA?
I would provide an answer, even if you have to self-calculate a GPA or percentile… based on how you received grades. Usually such is accomplished by applying a 4 to every A, a 3 to every B, etc.- per semester grade average or per quarter (either way, it is rather simple to calculate). In your case, I would detail that your calculation is unweighted vs weighted… and identify the scale… i.e 3.85 / 4.0 or 97 / 100, etc.
Or - possibly ask your guidance counselor to help generate such a GPA.
