Self-Reported Grades Error!

Hello, I realized after getting my admittance letter today that one of my course titles for senior year was inaccurate on the Courses part of the myIllini app. I listed AP Government as being a 2 semester long AP course, but I forgot that AP Government was only a 1 semester AP course, and that I was taking AP Microeconomics for my 2nd semester (as an AP Social Sciences course, same as AP Government).

Will I be at severe risk of getting my admission rescinded? I sent in an email to admissions as well as a course change request on the app. This was an honest mistake, and I didn’t intend to mislead the admissions office like this.

I feel like the course title of one Social Sciences course in 2nd semester of senior year wouldn’t make too much of a difference - especially if I corrected it as soon as I noticed the error and that both courses count for the same weight at my school (both are APs). However, am I mistaken?

I’m sure you’ll be fine! Both were AP classes so it’s not like you were taking a blow off class the second semester.

Unlike what the title to your post implies, yours is not an error in reporting grades, which could have an impact. Instead, you simply misidentified the length of a course and have corrected it. It will have no adverse impact.
