Self-Reported Grades vs. Transcript

So I submitted my applications with my self-reported gpa and rank from the beginning of senior year. My gpa just got updated and it’s about .1 higher but my rank fell about 20 places. My counselor hasn’t uploaded my transcript yet. Will the differences between my self-reported gpa/rank and the transcript cause problems with my applications or admissions?

If it was accurate when you submitted it, no problem. Transcript is what they’ll use anyway.

They will look at your transcript to check but I don’t think they will be mad about it. Call and email your schools just to be safe.

The GPA and rank you reported will be fine. Colleges expect it to be from the beginning of senior year anyway.

Just out of curiousity, does anyone know if the same applies for the IB program? Meaning, will they mind if my predicted grades (or self-reported) are lower than my IB final grades?

Unless there is a college-specific application that says differently, self reported scores should only be actuals. If you are a US student, your predicted grades are not really considered since relatively few US teachers have predicted with accuracy. If you are an international student, where teachers seem to be more accurate in their predicted scores, your final scores should be close.
