Hey guys,
I am a high school sophomore that cannot get into a math class because of my schedule and lack of resources in my town. For all of you math majors out there, what would you recommend as a fun math class to self study this semester? I have taken calculus II and introductory statistics.
Here are some ideas:
*Any discrete math subject (e.g. number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, logic, theoretical computer science, etc.). I recommend picking one of these because you don’t need a huge background in order to get a basic understanding of the subject (though there are many unsolved problems in these topics).
*Linear algebra or differential equations
*Abstract algebra
*Probability theory
