Hi guys!
I know there are a lot of threads on self-studying ap exams, but I was wondering if my plan for next year is too much or decent with time management. Next year, I will be a junior taking IB. Along with IB, I plan to self-study AP Psychology, AP Statistics, AP Human Geography, and AP Computer Science. (Studying some of the content during the summer). In addition, I volunteer for the local hospital on Saturdays for 4 hours and am planning to be president of French National Honor Society and FCCLA. Do you think I should drop some self-studying courses? I am very good at time management, so that won’t be a problem. I just don’t want to take too many where when exam time comes my scores will be low because of too much content. Or do you think that with effective time management it is possible to follow up on this plan?
Depends, are you testing in any SLs next year? 4 or 5 big tests (including your IB SLs and APs) might be manageable; 6 is probably too many.
That is true. My SLs are IB Physics SL and IB French SL.
Oh yeah, I forgot the AP Calc BC exam which I am taking the class for…so is that maybe too many exams?
It’s manageable, although 7 APs might be a bit too much.
Maybe might be good preparation for senior year? I hope so, because senior year I’m taking 4 HL (really scared for Math HL, I heard it’s death) tests, AP Physics C exam and AP French (hoping that the French SL exam will prepare well for the AP French exam). AHHHHHHHHHHH! (So much for senior year being the best year of high school:( ) It’s excessive, how do other people at my school do it?
Thanks for your advice for junior year, yeah, I will try to take around 5 big tests!
Math HL is okay, it’s Further Math HL which scares most people.
