Self Studying Calculus BC without doing AB

I plan on taking an Art of problem solving class online starting september 28th and wonder if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations. I am very bright in math and am taking WOOT on AoPS as well, but Im an incoming sophomore and taking 13 other ap's, here is my whole plan below, feel free to advice on calc bc specifally or anything else below,

I am a incoming Sophomore in High school, I go to private jewish school with subjects in religion and secular studies. Contrary to public opinion my school 'Yeshivah of Flatbush" leaves much to desire and I need something more to push forward my college app. Despite my hectic schedule from 7:05 AM to 5:30 PM, plus the homework and studying, I have devised a plan below for this year alone, for my extra academic stimulations,

Most people tell me I'm crazy, but if this is what it takes to get into MIT, I am willing to do it. I would describe myself of high intelligence, primarily in mathematics, and politics, however I am also a history buff and avid reader of good literature. But at same time you won't faint out of shock when you meet me. I am deaf and thus a year behind in speech learning, which is pretty amazing considering I have won 6 awards in debate and model congress last year, see below my plans and attack/criticize/praise/encourage me, after all you've read through this much just for my sake, so pat yourself on the back,

Personal Quests,

Solve Rubik's Cube faster
Learn Programming - C++, Objective C, Cocoa programming,
Python and MySQL.

1) If you’re taking the AoPS Calculus course, then AP Calc BC will be almost completely trivial. (I’ve studied the textbook for that course, and it covers more than enough for you to ace the AP Calc BC exam.)
2) Are you taking all those AP exams in one year? If it’s spread over two or three years, that’s fine, but otherwise, no.
3) “Calculus BC (and AB if I’m allowed)” You can’t take both in the same year, but you can take both in different years.

I am taking all of those AP’s in one year, and yes people tell me I am a robot, maybe, but I will ultimately drop courses if i ‘have’ to,

So i guess I’ll take Calc AB since that’s easier to remember in junior year, how ironic.

I have updated my computer programming goals so disregard those,

and thanks for your input and advice!!!

I’m also a sophomore, taking Calculus using AOPS, and plan to take EIGHT AP exams this year, but wow, your ambition is just incredible compared to mine. Though one word of advice, I think taking SAT Math Level 1 will be redundant since you seem like you could do good on the Math Level 2 (based on all the competitions you’re doing) probably even get a perfect score.

thanks man!! and yeah sure thing!! I might as well take both, but others argued that the ability to take math 2, makes math 1 pointless,

and what 8 ap’s you plan on taking? self study or courses?

How are you able to take all of those classes in one year, at your school? How many periods do you have in a day, and how long is an average school day for you?
Or are you planning on taking all of those tests, but not the actual courses?

taking tests, not actual courses,

That’s okay then. Remember to manage your time efficiently, though.
Are you actually getting the time to study for all of these test? If so, kudos to you :)

just an update on how plans have changed for the better and worse,

AP: Dropping Psychology, Art History and CS (I prefer C programming, so maybe next year)

School wouldn’t register for any of these contests, Physic QuizBowl
F=ma exam
WestingHouse Competition

and I personally dropped USAMTS, i admit it was too ambitious for me,

I am not in Model UN, College Bowl, or MSG Varsity,

Forget about MySQL and C++ as well,

and SAT 2’s and Regents ain’t that important, will take whatever I feel proficient in, but it’s not a big priority,

On the positive side, i just registered for Olympiad Geometry in addition to WOOT, since WOOT has very little Geometry, hence I took care of that,

Signed up for NYU Math Circle Course and Pushkin Academy (both are olympiad centered math)

I am also going to be home schooled this semester, so will take some courses on CTY and tutoring from Physics Professors I know, any questions or “See I knew it!!” comments are all welcome, Thank you guys for giving me hope and support,

Nice, you’re like a much more overachiever version of me. I’m same age, same interests, but I’ve never been half as ambitious.

I’m sad to see you dropped USAMTS! It was only two rounds this year…

Your username doesn’t look familiar…do you post on the WOOT board?

yeah, I’m yoni2b on AoPS, my father made the account name for me, and yeah, i can still do the USAMTS practice problems…still pathetic in group theory, anyways I was intimidated by them, :stuck_out_tongue: will go back to them before I dare look at their solutions,
