Hello! I have surprised myself by being very interested recently in studying engineering. Basically, I am taking courses at a cc right now and I work full-time so I have to limit my course schedule. I guess I'm wondering what prereq courses are most important to see if I'm serious about this whole engineering thing. A brief outline of backstory:

-I have a non-science BA
-I was homeschooled in high school and had limited opportunity in math and science.
-I took a few years off & returned to school to take core math and science, planning to either post-bac or second bachelors in Biology with an intention of grad school in Conservation Biology or Ecology
-surprised myself by enjoying this whole math/hard science thing
-really like the idea of actually being capable of creating solutions

Current relevant transcript:
-intro chemistry (pre-req for Gen Chem series due to absence of hs chem) -A
-intermed algebra A
-Precalculus (two weeks from finals, anticipating A)
-gen Bio I (not that relevant I know, tested out)

Next semester I am taking Gen Chem I, but I kind of want to change to calculus. I may have a work schedule change that would allow me to add at least one more class. I would add Calculus I. I think it will be important for me to see how I like physics, but I want to take calculus-based so it needs to wait.

Basically, I'm willing to put in the required work to turn my weaknesses into strengths, but I also don't want to waste time/screw up class order if I end up hating calc/physics/eng & return to biology, so I'm wondering if there are any pre-reqs that most closely resemble the actual engineering classes/work. Any advice, related or not, is welcome.
