Wondering how many people were invited to apply for this. It sounds like a lovely opportunity but 7,000 dollars is quite a bit…

I imagine everyone who was accepted got invited to it.

It sounds like a lovely opportunity. Price does seem a little high, but at the same time you’re going to be in Italy for around a month and get 3 credits out of it. Doesn’t sound too bad at all if you’re interested in Italian culture/history

I too think everyone who was admitted was invited. $7,000 IS a lot of dough, especially to pay up front and not have it taken from the FA. However, Raito23 may be correct. In retrospect and comparison to AU’s cost as an undergraduate institution, $7,000 is a deal. It covers tuition, flights to/from Rome, the months stay in hotel, food stipend, and transportation within Rome. And of course the credits. Really a deal for those intending to major in politics (of the internatioanl kind) or history/italian culture as the credits would help get a leg up - 1 class ahead.

Otherwise, it would be a waste unless you wanted to use that opportunity as your “Study Abroad” option and not do a Study Abroad during the rest of your time at AU.

That’s what I was suspecting, as regards everyone being invited…it sounds like a nice deal if you’re into Rome/Italy, etc.
