I remember reading somewhere in the CMC application that they want you to send them a picture of yourself. Well, it's a few days from the deadline and I haven't. Should I send one in overnight mail or should I just skip it? Does it really matter that much?
Thanks.

I don't think it matters--it is always optional as it could potentially be used for discriminatory purposes. I think they said that it is only so they can "attach a name with a face" and to be used for the student directory if you are admitted. Don't worry about it

I actually emailed them about this. I applied early and my senior portraits were not going to make the deadline. They said that I could send the picture later, which I did, and I got in. So the late picture really didn't stop me! :)

the pictures only matter if you get in because they use the picture in the student directory so you don't need it for the applications process, but if you get in ... you'll need to send one in

As long as it is not a hideous photograph, then I would say that sending a picture is a wonderful idea. Photographs help the admissions committee feel a little closer to you. Instead of seeing just a name, the committe now has a face to match it with. If you are easy on the eyes, then I would definitely advise that you'd send a photo, since the human eye is naturally attracted to beauty. It really wouldn't hurt. do it.
